Alternatively, a message can be instantly transferred to a “To do” folder to be acted upon later, or one of several other temporary folders. Snoozed messages are put into a special folder that can be opened at any time in Airmail itself or in other mail clients. Airmail makes sorting messages into folders easy and also allows “snoozing” messages-getting them out of sight for a specified amount of time.

My inboxes have a tendency to accumulate more emails than I can easily manage. The iOS app by itself is very good, but I recommend pairing it with the MacOS counterpart for maximum benefit. I chatted with Steven, whose response to my question was prompt, helpful and courteous. At the website a pop-up window offers the opportunity to chat in real time with a helper. I found that going to the app’s website and reading the documentation useful.

Because there are several settings, it can take a while to learn the full range, but it is worth taking the time to experiment. It can be tweaked to suit the user’s tastes in look and feel. Let’s keep it up! Great work Airmail team.Īirmail’s strongest attraction is its customizability. I love Airmail but being a power-user Mail client is a big part of what sets it apart from other apps for me. It’s handy, but would feel more reliable if I could skip the link-building portion entirely, and would show that this is still a priority. Currently, I have a custom action in Airmail that will run a Shortcuts shortcut using the message subject and airmail link as input, isolate the message ID, construct a message:// link and then offer option to copy or share as just the URL or inline link with subject and url. Usually the Airmail link is sufficient but I has times where I need the Mail link. For example, maybe in addition to an Airmail message link being one of the things you can send to a URL scheme or a shortcut as input, you also add the option to copy a standard Apple Mail message link. I hope they don’t get rid of it (it’s still called Workflow in the action builder) but would be nice to see some more work in custom actions maybe some refinements to what data is available to send. Maybe a bit niche but I love having the option. The fact that you can make custom actions combining the numerous supported app actions, as well as launching a Shortcuts shortcut or other URL scheme with user-defined info passed to it is awesome. Don't forget to make it ugly, impossible to navigate, unable to customize shortcuts (you know, the simple ones like "Forward"), and incapable of formatting signatures correctly.Īirmail is a power-user email app like none other on iOS. Oh, and even better, if you copy/pasta an email link YOU CAN'T EDIT IT. It lets you read an email, then when you switch over to your calendar or whatever for a second to verify information you're about to send then switch back to it, it loses that message completely such that if you're a power user and use keystrokes to reply, you don't realize you're not responding to the original message. So I'm forced to attach all individually 1 by 1, being asked that 1st stupid question every single time. "Done" and "Deselect" do exactly the same thing. After being asked the dumb question of where I want to upload from, I'm allowed to choose that folder. UPDATE: Do you devs use your own software?!? I've got a folder with 50 items I need to attach.
